A letter from St. Margaret’s Hospice………
I am pleased to let you know that St Margaret’s Hospice Care are organising our Glorious Gardens 2022 Campaign and I am getting in touch to see if yourself or a member of your local gardening club would like to be involved and open their beautiful gardens to support St Margaret’s Hospice Care next year?
St Margaret’s Hospice Care is hoping that many of your, our green-fingered supporters, will open your gates next summer to the general public to showcase your own glorious green spaces and raise money for our local hospice.
Whether it is for one day or for the whole summer season, the money you raise by sharing your garden, allotments, farm, or orchard will go straight to caring and supporting the people of Somerset facing a life-limiting illness, who need our care often during the final months of their life. This is not only a fantastic and unique way of supporting your local hospice, but a wonderful way to showcase your gardening prowess to your local community. From small courtyards to country estates, no garden is too big or too small and every garden will have something for people to enjoy.
We will do our best to support and provide banners, posters, risk assessments, buckets and other branded materials which proved to be successful in previous years should you wish to have them. I understand that you will need some time before you make your final decision, but please can I ask that you could get back to me as soon as possible as we are hoping to launch the campaign by April next year for those who wish to have their gardens open to showcase their beautiful spring flowers.
Lastly, I would like to say thank you for support. The funds cannot be raised and the campaign cannot go ahead without the amazing support that we receive from the amazing people within the county of Somerset, so thank you very much.
